Roof Cleaning
A soft-wash roof clean removes years of moss, algae and lichen without the destructive force of a pressure lance.

Moss, algae and lichen — removed without damage
We treat tiled, slate and concrete roofs across Gloucestershire using a soft-wash system that lifts organic growth at the root rather than blasting it off the surface.
Every clean begins with a survey and a safe access plan, and finishes with valleys, gutters and grounds cleared of debris — so the only evidence we were there is a roof that looks decades younger.
Request a QuoteHow we approach roof cleaning.
Moss holds moisture against tiles and slate, lifting edges, blocking valleys and shortening the life of the roof covering. We begin with a full survey from ground level and, where required, from an access tower or cherry picker.
Loose growth is scraped and removed by hand before a biocide soft-wash treatment is applied at low pressure. The treatment continues to work for several months, leaving the roof progressively cleaner without the tile erosion caused by high-pressure washing.
All debris is cleared from gutters, valleys and grounds before we leave, and we photograph the finished work for your records.

Why clients choose our roof cleaning.
Extends roof life
Removing moss stops moisture being held against tiles, slowing frost damage and slippage.
No tile erosion
Soft-wash pressure protects the weathered surface that high-pressure lancing destroys.
Kerb appeal restored
A clean roof visibly lifts the whole elevation and supports property value.
Ongoing protection
The biocide keeps working for months, slowing regrowth long after we leave.
Frequently asked.
- Will pressure washing damage my tiles?
- It can — which is why we soft-wash. Our system works at garden-hose pressure and relies on treatment rather than force.
- How long until the roof looks clean?
- Hand removal gives an immediate improvement; the biocide continues to lift staining over the following two to six months.
